To begin renting your next quality instrument through Jim's Music, please fill out the following form. A Jim's Music representative will review your information and contact you within 24-48 hours to set up arrangements for you to pick up your new rental. If you sign up for autopay through your bank account, you will need to provide a voided check or deposit slip. When you come to pick up your rental, you will need to bring your driver's license for our records. If you have any additional questions about your new rental, feel free to contact us.

Terms And Conditions

By clicking accept, I understand that Jim's Music reserves the right to terminate this authorization and participation therein. If I choose to terminate this authorization, I will immediately notify Jim's Music. I am completely responsible for this rental instrument and I grant permission to Jim's Music to retrieve this rental instrument from the school, home, or wherever found if I should fail to keep rental payments current. I additionally grant permission to the school's music director to give this rental instrument to a Jim's Music representative." What do you mean by, "Seller's interest may be assigned to GLFFCU. Assignee will have all rights but no obligations of Jim's Music Co. under this agreement

 

 

BILLING AND CHANGE OF ADDRESS: You will receive a payment coupon book at the address you have provided. You must inform us of any changes in your contact information. No additional billing statements will be provided. All rental payments are due in advance. Any time period less than a full month will be billed as a full month. There are no refunds on rental payments. You must not move the instrument from the address shown in this agreement without our written consent.

MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR COVERAGE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Coverage is for keeping the instrument in good playing condition. Repair coverage specifically does not cover dents, scratches and cosmetic flaws that have no effect on the playing of the instrument. Also excluded are expendable items, such as reeds, swabs, lubricants, mallets, drumsticks, rosin and strings. Repair coverage will be considered "Not in Force" when payment lapses beyond the ten day grace period. All repairs and replacements must be made by Jim's Music; do not attempt any repairs on your own as it may void the coverage. Maintenance and repair premiums are not refundable and do not apply to purchase.

BAND RENTALS (FLUTE, CLARINET, TRUMPET, TROMBONE, SAX, ETC.): Rental payments are for each month and apply in full to the purchase price. The maintenance and repair fee does not apply toward the instrument purchase price. At the end of any one month term, you may:
Continue to rent at the current rate, until the instrument is paid off.
Purchase instrument outright (Discount Applies).
Return the instrument within 10 days.

ORCHESTRA RENTALS (VIOLIN, VIOLA, CELLO): Rental instruments are not for sale. When your child is ready for a full size instrument, the rented instrument may be exchanged for a full size instrument. Up to one (calendar) year of your rental payments can be applied to the purchase of a new full size instrument. The actual prices of full size instruments vary, but are readily available from our sales staff.

PAST DUE ACCOUNTS: Only payments made on time apply to the purchase of the instrument. Any accounts going beyond the ten day grace period will be assessed a late charge of 2% per month ($10.00 minimum). Bad checks will be charged $25.00 per bank deposit. If your account falls 90 days into arrears, it will be forwarded to a collection agency, and you will be responsible for the full amount due on the instrument plus any collection fees incurred. This contract is not subject to bankruptcy as the money collected is rent. Title and right of possession of the instrument shall remain with Jim's Music until total payments equal to the value (plus sales tax) of the instrument are made. At this time ownership will be transferred to you. If rental payments are not paid when due, Jim's Music shall have the right to take possession of the instrument with or without legal process.

In the event that Jim's Music is compelled to incur any expense, including attorney fees or collection agency fees in maintaining or defending any action or proceeding instituted by reason of any default of the signer, such expenses shall be the responsibility of the signer.

TERMINATIONS:

You can terminate this agreement at any time by returning the instrument to us in good condition. All original issued accessories such as mouthpieces, drum pads, sticks, instrument parts, and bow must be returned with the instrument or you must pay for replacing the missing items.
NEW INSTRUMENTS EXCHANGE:

You can exchange instruments during the first 12 months (teacher approval required). You will be responsible for any additional rental charges. After the first 12 months, you cannot apply rental payments from one instrument to another.
TITLE TO THE INSTRUMENT:

Jim’s Music retains full title and ownership of the instrument you are renting until you make all rental and other payments required under this agreement. You agree not to sell, sublease, pawn, remove from the state, or otherwise dispose of this instrument until all payments specified in this agreement have been made. You do not have the right to keep the instrument if you do not make all of the payments necessary for ownership.
CUSTOMER'S RIGHT TO CANCEL (OFF PREMISE LEASES ONLY)

: You may cancel this agreement by mailing a written notice to Jim's Music, 1513 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829 before midnight of the third business day after you sign this agreement. If you wish, you may use the lower copy as that notice by writing "I hereby cancel" and adding your name and address.
